The video conference started with a small introduction from the Informa team and a wonderful poem intermission by one of my peers Arnaldo. Benedetta, then introduced herself and her experience on the job working along side Enric Miralles in their well-known firm EMBT. The theme of the conference was how her team had adapted to the new way architecture was being looked at after the pandemic broke out, as well as talking about her experiences as a woman in the field.

She began by talking about how their goal was to connect the barriers between the inside world and the outdoors. She made the point that the outdoors is the best place to be and that architecture precisely can make a change in how we interact with he outside world. She then explained the importance of pleasure in architecture and how it is important for architects to have this in mind. While she talked about her experience as a women she spoke about how this career is practically dominated by men and how women have a certain sensibility to take what men have done and add a little feminine flair to their work. Which in relation to the themes discussed in class we can say that them adding feminine vision to what might've been a more masculine product works on the idea that we take something that's already been produced and add what we feel it needs to get our ideas across.
